This updated version of the renowned road-rugged Backstage practice amps of the '70s has a patented TransTube preamp that emulates the even, harmonic distortion of 12AX7s without the hassle or cost of tubes. The gain level is tailored for any amount of drive-clean, crunch, or scream. The TransTube also mimics the "push back" response of real tube circuitry, essential to emulating tube dynamics, distortion, and chime.
